Sunday, Today was La fete de musique! the whole city was taken over by music of all kinds. Everywhere you walked there was a band set up on the corner. I wandered around for a few hours and found some really good bands. The one i stayed at for the longest was Barnum’s Parano. I don’t know how to describe them…they had a bunch of instrumental but also rock and reggae/ska ish...

Saturday, not much goin on this day. I woke up late, and went and took a few portraits and that’s about it. Hung out with some people later in the night.

Friday, we went to an Equstrian school in Saumur. It’s where the french olympic team practices as well. You have to be highly skilled to be able to get into this school. We got a private tour of the place. thursday, just had french class and then photo class. Then i met up with my parents! it was really fun seeing them. I went back to Saumur with them and stayed the night. It was a good break from Angers

Day Thirty
Had french class this morning, i am sitting in my photo class right now. It’s a small critique if you want to, i don’t think i’m going to show anything. Not much else planned for the day. Just hanging around on the computers and having dinner tonight with friends.
Day Twenty Nine
Tuesday, we had final cut pro training today. It’s goin well, we take the test next week. I’m going to be studying so much, i’ve got to pass the test! Nothing much else happened today, i stayed in the photolab for a bit editing and what not, and then just went back to the apartments and made some tasty veggie pasta and went to bed at 10.30 oh yes. It was nice getting sleep.

Day Twenty Eight
Monday, we had our first french test today. It was a piece of cake. And then instead of photo class we could either work, or Joe took us to this cathedral where we had a private tour of the towers and were able to go up into the bell towers and to the highest point in the cathedral. it was really great.
Day Twenty Seven
Sunday, slow day. Slept late, went to try and take photos but it’s so quiet around the city and everything is closed that i didn’t really get anything. I read a whole book. It was small though, A Short Introduction to Consciousness. It was fabulous. And i want to learn more.

Saturday, today we went to the city of Saumur for the Rendez Vous troglos. This area where houses are built into the cliffs and caves and you can go inside their houses and walk around. Friday, I’ve taken so long to update, i don’t remember what i did on friday. I didn’t have class, so i slept late and went to take a few portraits. And i think that’s about it. Hung out with people i’m sure. Sorry!

Thursday. French class and then our 1st photo critique. I was awesome seeing what everyone has been working on. So far so good, i can’t wait until the second one. Then we had our photo exhibition reception. Earlier this week we hung our photos in the library, so we went to the library and gave a brief summary of the photos we hung and then just stood around and chatted for a while with drinks...

Wed, pretty slow day. Just worked in the computer lab and took it easy. Christian, Sarah and I went to a Hookah bar. It has a really nice environment.

Tuesday, we had a shortened FCP (Final Cut Pro) training today. Only lasted until 1. It went well. Learned how to edit video if multiple cameras were used from different angles. Pretty awesome. Monday, back to the regular week! Had french class and then our photo class. Been trying to catch up on sleep, but it’s hard when the bed..is not so comfy. Not too much going on really.

Sunday, we were supposed to have time to walk around St. Malo for a while, but another storm came in and it had to be cut short. So we just came back to Angers. We had about 2 hours to walk around a bit, but definitely not enough.

Saturday, we went to Mont St. Michele. First we stopped in this small town though, not sure of the name, don’t think we were ever told it. Mont St. Michele was pretty neat. You don’t get to see more than 50% if that much of the castle/cathedral. And it’s full of a ridiculous amount of tourists, and they told us this wasn’t even close to as many as usual. It’s...
Day Eighteen
Friday, we left for normandy early in the morning. It was a really fun day. We went to Omaha beach and then the Pointe Du Hoc and then the D Day museum. It was amazing to see those two historical landmarks. There was a lot going on, being the anniversary on saturday. Lots of veterans and people in their military get up. Thursday, had french writing class. We learned how to conjugate certain kinds of verbs! It was kind of exciting. Then for photo class, we joined up with the other group that’s here and listened to a lecture about the history of Normandy before we go (we leave tomorrow, get back sunday). I’m pretty excited. Day Fifteen
Tuesday, we started the Final Cut Pro training today. It was really intense. One session down, two more to go. From 9-5…sitting in front of a computer getting tons of information every minute on this dense program. We take a test afterwards if we want, we have to get 80% to pass and be certified. I’m excited to be learning this program, but it’s definitely hard.
Day Fourteen
Bonjour! The start of the third week. Nothing too much going on still, just working on French class and photos. We learned how to order food at a restaurant and the basic phrases you need to know. Then we mounted our photos for the mini show we are having at the university. After class a bunch of us went to this small park right next to our dorms and sat around and relaxed, drinking some wine.
Day Thirteen
Sunday, slow day. Everything was closed because it was sunday and a religious holiday. I went for a walk and sat in a park for a while. Just enjoyed being outside. Sat at a Jazz club for a while with a few people.

WatchDay Twelve: How cute!!! i couldn’t resist.
Day Twelve
Had a very nice day. Woke up and took my time, then i went wandering for a few hours and got a couple portraits. Perfect weather like always. I stopped for lunch and got a sandwich near the university area then went to a park and laid on a bench for about an hour 1/2 just listening to music. Probably going to go wander around again tonight with some people.
Day Eleven
Didn’t do much during the day. Took a nice free lazy day. At night i walked around with everyone else and we just hung out until about 2 or 230 AM.
Day Ten
(Thursday 28th) We had our writing french class again today, and then our photo class. Then Sarah and I went to H&M, i got some tights and a scarf, and an umbrella! Some good essentials. There is this big shopping district which is where it is with lots of cafes and shops and fountains. This gorgeous dog was just walking around in the fountain.
